When our Body is Destroyed

We all want to keep our bodies in good shape, that’s why we do all sorts of things to keep fit and to look good.

For instance, sometimes I walk in the evening to keep fit,I try to eat healthy by avoiding junk food,I eat food that adds value to my body,I treat my hair and face so that it will glow, and I put on make-up so that I hide the dark spots on my face. However, all these doesn’t stop me from getting old.

Despite all the effort, nowadays I have to check my blood pressure regularly, I need to visit a dentist soon for my teeth are worn out,I have to regulate my hormones so that they stop behaving abnormally. My body is getting worn out and destroyed, eventually in one way or another, I will switch off one day and die.

Yes,death will be the ultimate destroyer of our bodies, but this is not the end.

There is hope.

The bible in 2 Corinthians 5:1-4 says that our bodies are earthly,it refers to our bodies as tents, meaning that our bodies are temporary, because tents are temporary structures.

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

What will house us in heaven will be a building,a permanent structure. So if our bodies look this good on earth, then we will look extremely gorgeous in heaven.

So,if you are like me whose body keeps wearing out, do not worry, something better is coming.

2 Cor.5:4

For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.

Yes,we are looking forward to continue living in heaven.

There is life after death.
