Yesterday I was reading some headlines and they were so horrible that I couldn’t open and read the details. They were about girls and women who got raped in India. If only these men knew about love,we wouldn’t have these horrible news.
People are suffering in this world because there is no love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.
If these men cared for the girls, they wouldn’t rape them,if they were kind to the girls, they would protect them.
When we are dealing with people, let us watch our actions,is there love in our actions? Is there love in our motives?
Loving people is not easy but God gives us the grace to do so.We need to ask the Lord to help us, to enable us.
God expects us to even love our enemies, even to pray for them. This is tough but with God all things are possible.
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
God is telling us to love the unlovable, to be good to those who are bad to us, this ain’t easy, but with God all things are possible.
Is there someone who has treated you bad?
Recently someone treated me bad, I have been avoiding her, but now I know that I need to love her. Its not easy, I will start by praying for her.
All of us are loved by the Lord,we should extend His love to people.
