There are days when we go through dark moments and we feel like the world should swallow us.It could be after the death of a loved one,a failed project, divorce ,losses in business and so on.How do you move on with life after such setbacks?
We have an example in the Bible of a woman who lost her husband and two sons in a foreign land and instead of wallowing in pity, she remembered her God,the God of her people and immediately she had hope in life. This woman was called Naomi.
She didn’t allow the situation to put her down however bad it was.Losing a husband and all your children is not easy,it’s the worst that a woman can face on earth.Thinking about this can lead one to hopelessness and depression. But Naomi remembered her God,and she got strength to arise. She got strength to move on.
Ruth 1:6&7
6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread.
7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.
When Naomi remembered her God,immediately her thinking changed. She decided to go back to her God and her people. She decided to leave the dead situations behind. The country of Moab where her people had died soon became like a graveyard.Moab was dark and future less but there was some hope in her country. There was some hope in Bethlehem, only that what God had in store for Naomi was more than she could ever think or imagine.
Have you been facing difficult situations?
Remember the Lord.
His promises are Yea and Amen in Christ Jesus.Do not let the bad things that are happening in your life to discourage you and pull you down.Arise and move on!
Isaiah 60:1-2
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Love this! Such beautiful and perfect advice. Sometimes we just need that little nudge of a reminder. We can face anything if we face it with Christ!
